This book is a quick hack especially for women to connect with their true potential and accomplish their dreams. Deciding to live the life of your dreams is dependent on personal choice. Nine out of ten times we suffer from the sense of inadequacy and also disempowering beliefs that's planted in our life experience through unwarranted incidents. The feeling that I am not enough and I have to be collecting certifications, medals, and trophies to prove how good I am to the world robs us of our ideal life living with the gifts that we have been blessed with. The skepticism of the society and the families in which we are raised creeps into our personality and our being even before we are continuous. The amount of unlearning we need to do in order to design the life of our choice kills us everyday. We are born enough and in the journey of life we have different experiences of growth -lessons etc. which is for progress and not to prove any inadequacy. These are mantras used and practiced by successful individuals, (women) as success is truly gender agnostic. Man or woman if you play these mantras, your don't worry about success anymore, you just live a truly fulfilling happy life. We also focus on what's success and how you want to define it before you start the chase game in your life.As human beings we think we are superior beings with immense knowledge and privilege to ruin the natural merits of this universe and this planet. If you have watched the birds, dogs or even plants simply being and finding joy in the sense of living you will realize that we all are blessed with the natural abilities of what we are here for. Unfortunately our society creates this pedestal of knowledge, skill and power play to be an unattainable power game that constantly deludes us...Most often we think that the chase for the mirage of more is the game called life.9 Success mantras are few simple things that have been practiced since the dawn of mankind by the so called gurus, and the truly successful beings of all times. Instead of staying in the struggle, stress and drudgery of life, if we can simply live in joy of service to ourselves and our fellow beings life would offer way more. The race for bigger -better -faster and more glorifying is not always the measure for success and true eternal happiness

Demystifying Sustainability

Demystifying Sustainability PDF Author: Haydn Washington
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 131760668X
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 236

Book Description
What is sustainability? Much has been said about the terms ‘sustainability’ and ‘sustainable development’ over the last few decades, but they have become buried under academic jargon. This book is one of the first that aims to demystify sustainability so that the layperson can understand the key issues, questions and values involved. Accessible and engaging, the book examines the ‘old’ sustainability of the past and looks to the future, considering how economic, ecological and social sustainability should be defined if we are to solve the entwined environmental, economic and social crises. It considers if meaningful sustainability is the same as a ‘sustainable development’ based on endless growth, examining the difficult but central issues of overpopulation and overconsumption that drive unsustainability. The book also explores the central role played by society’s worldview and ethics, along with humanity’s most dangerous characteristic – denial. Finally, it looks to the future, discussing the ‘appropriate’ technology needed for sustainability, and suggesting nine key solutions. This book provides a much-needed comprehensive discussion of what sustainability means for students, policy makers and all those interested in a sustainable future.

Mindset

Mindset PDF Author: Carol S. Dweck
Publisher: Ballantine Books
ISBN: 0345472322
Category : Psychology
Languages : en
Pages : 322

Book Description
From the renowned psychologist who introduced the world to “growth mindset” comes this updated edition of the million-copy bestseller—featuring transformative insights into redefining success, building lifelong resilience, and supercharging self-improvement. “Through clever research studies and engaging writing, Dweck illuminates how our beliefs about our capabilities exert tremendous influence on how we learn and which paths we take in life.”—Bill Gates, GatesNotes “It’s not always the people who start out the smartest who end up the smartest.” After decades of research, world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D., discovered a simple but groundbreaking idea: the power of mindset. In this brilliant book, she shows how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. People with a fixed mindset—those who believe that abilities are fixed—are less likely to flourish than those with a growth mindset—those who believe that abilities can be developed. Mindset reveals how great parents, teachers, managers, and athletes can put this idea to use to foster outstanding accomplishment. In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. She introduces a phenomenon she calls false growth mindset and guides people toward adopting a deeper, truer growth mindset. She also expands the mindset concept beyond the individual, applying it to the cultures of groups and organizations. With the right mindset, you can motivate those you lead, teach, and love—to transform their lives and your own.
