The Invisible Weapon

The Invisible Weapon PDF Author: Daniel R. Headrick
Publisher: Oxford University Press
ISBN: 0199996326
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 300

Book Description
A vital instrument of power, telecommunications is and has always been a political technology. In this book, Headrick examines the political history of telecommunications from the mid-nineteenth century to the end of World War II. He argues that this technology gave society new options. In times of peace, the telegraph and radio were, as many predicted, instruments of peace; in times of tension, they became instruments of politics, tools for rival interests, and weapons of war. Writing in a lively, accessible style, Headrick illuminates the political aspects of information technology, showing how in both World Wars, the use of radio led to a shadowy war of disinformation, cryptography, and communications intelligence, with decisive consequences.

The Soviet Union’s Invisible Weapons of Mass Destruction

The Soviet Union’s Invisible Weapons of Mass Destruction PDF Author: Anthony Rimmington
Publisher: Springer Nature
ISBN: 3030828824
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 278

Book Description
This book focuses on Biopreparat, the Soviet agency created in 1974, which spearheaded the largest and most sophisticated biological warfare programme the world has ever seen. At its height, Biopreparat employed more than 30,000 personnel and incorporated an enormous network embracing military-focused research institutes, design centres, biowarfare pilot facilities and dual-use production plants. The secret network pursued major offensive R&D programmes, which sought to use genetic engineering techniques to create microbial strains resistant to antibiotics and with wholly new and unexpected pathogenic properties. During the mid-1980s, Biopreparat increased in size and political importance and also emerged as a major civil biopharmaceutical player in the USSR. In the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, an acute struggle for control of Biopreparat’s most valuable assets took place and the network was eventually broken-up and control of its facilities transferred to a myriad of state agencies and private companies.

Book Description
Throughout the history of the Crusades, liturgical prayer, masses, and alms were all marshaled in the fight against Muslim armies. In Invisible Weapons, M. Cecilia Gaposchkin focuses on the ways in which Latin Christians communicated their ideas and aspirations for crusade to God through liturgy, how public worship was deployed, and how prayers and masses absorbed the ideals and priorities of crusading. Rape Is an Invisible Weapon

Rape Is an Invisible Weapon PDF Author: Chantal N'Guessan
Publisher: Xulon Press
ISBN: 9781498410663
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 106

Book Description
Do not miss the opportunity that God has given us. Time is limited, time is not eternal. Rape is one of the devils invisible weapon. This book is meant to tell you about the purpose or purposes of a violation. A rape is a trap arranged by the devil, the purpose of this violation is to destroy us mentally, morally, physically. The story deals with a 12 year old girl who was raped by three men in different places. This girl is now 40 years old and she is remarried and has 6 children. I wrote this book to help anyone who has been raped, I wrote this book to tell them that being raped, or violated traumatizes us. When we are raped, we are immersed in trauma, and only Jesus can deliver us from this trauma which is planned by the devil, and He delivered me from my trauma and this he can also do it to help all of you who have asked for help. We can stay injured without knowing the purpose. Christ has shown me that I was traumatized. I wrote this book to tell you to forgive these people, because these people are doing what the devil said. The devil wanted to bring shame on us and traumatize us, to tell us that destroying is the message of God John: 10-10, the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I have come so that humans have life and have it abundantly. I was lucky I'm not dead. His purpose in this world is that someone is killed and violated every day. Jesus tells us his purpose, ask the father, to forgive them for They Know Not What They Do, Luke 23-34. That's why I wrote this book for you, so that you say amen and forgive.
