If he remembers that, when he is at a place for one night only, it is unnecessary to remove his luggage from the station, should a hand-bag be sufficient. A day at the consigne, it is better to take it to the hotel. If he remembers that the railway companies only undertake to refund 4 for the most valuable box lost on the railway; and that on that account it may be better never unnecessarily to leave a valuable box in their charge.
