Book Description
This book of poems takes you on a journey through Liam's mind as he processes the broken marriage from his wife who was the love of his life. Liam's wife came out as asexual and bisexual which confused Liam as to what his role was in the relationship. When Liam's wife came out, they were already separated for about nine months Liam's wife asked him to move back in and work on the marriage. There were some hurdles to overcome though. When his wife came out as asexual and bisexual, his wife also told him that she was sexually roleplaying on Twitter using characters from Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway plays and movies. Liam told his wife that he was willing to work with her coming out as asexual and bisexual because he loved his wife very much but was not willing to accept her sexually roleplaying while being married. His wife agreed to stop the sexual roleplay, so Liam moved back in to work on the marriage. A few months later while cuddling in bed at night, Liam saw his wife sexually roleplaying on Twitter and told his wife the next morning that she was cheating on him. Things went south real fast. After Liam confronted his wife about the cheating, his wife kicked him out of the house. Liam spent that weekend scared, confused, and confiding in the bottle. Liam relapsed after being sober for some time. Liam went into rehab where he met with his therapist on a weekly basis. His therapist challenged Liam to journal every day to get his thoughts and emotions out so that he could process them. The journaling led into writing poems. This book, A Marriage to an Asexual Bisexual, is a journey of Liam's confusions, resentments, anger, and concerns over a period of about thirty days. These poems in the book are presented in chronological order as they were written over those thirty days. It's a journey that has allowed Liam to process everything that has happened and everything that was presently going on in his life. Liam is now in the process of writing a second book of poems, A Marriage to Recovery. Liam supports the LGBTQIA community and feels that people should be allowed to be who they are and treated equally. This book is not meant to be used as propaganda against the community, but instead, it's a book about the confusion that the other half endures. Liam and his wife were married for fourteen years. Liam saw a big change in his wife about seven years into the marriage and was unhappy with the marriage for the last seven years. Liam often said to his wife, "You don't love me. You just love the idea of me." As it turns out, Liam was right seven years ago.

Pages : 192

Book Description
"Doomed Grooms: Gay and Bisexual Husbands in Straight Marriages" is a self-help book for both women who discover or suspect that their husbands are gay/bisexual and for those men who are ready to come out to their wives. Written by counselor Bonnie Kaye, M.Ed., the international expert in the field of straight/gay marriages, this book is a follow-up to her first book, "The Gay Husband Checklist for Women Who Wonder." Topics covered include the loss of women's self and sexual esteem, the effect of the Internet in luring men into the world of homosexuality, the controversy of changing a gay/bisexual husband's sexuality, the mourning stages after a marriage is over, and a list of steps to show women how they can start their journeys to Gay Husband Recovery. "Doomed Grooms" also contains interviews with past members of Kaye's online support group from different parts of the world, as well as interviews with two gay ex-husbands who explain the dynamics of these marriages. She also shares heartfelt letters from both straight wives and gay husbands to show the emotional impact on both ends. It is estimated that over 4 million women in the United States alone are or have been married to men who are gay/bisexual. "Doomed Grooms" allows women to come to a sense of closure by helping them understand the different aspects of homosexuality their husbands display. It also helps give validation to the millions who will never get the truth from their husbands in order to help them move on and heal. About the Author Bonnie Kaye is an internationally recognized relationship counselor/author in the field of straight/gay marriages. Confessions of a Bisexual Husband

Confessions of a Bisexual Husband PDF Author: Mark Bentley Cohen
Publisher: Mark Bentley Cohen
ISBN:
Category : Psychology
Languages : en
Pages : 159

Book Description
“Confessions of A Bisexual Husband” is a candid, honest, rivetting account of a man coming to terms with bisexuality within the confines of marriage and fatherhood. The book redefines our most dearly-held beliefs about sexuality, monogamous marriage, and living an authentic life. Cohen takes us into his intimate world of sexual exploration as he tries to solve the mystery of his lifelong struggle with bisexuality. After 15 years of marriage, two kids, and illicit experimentation with men behind his wife Gabrielle's back, Marco confesses it all to her. For most this would be a dealbreaker – not so for Gabrielle. She too felt unhappy and confined in the marriage. Together they decide to set each other free, opening their relationship and exploring beyond the bounds of their monogamous, heterosexual union. Gabrielle is soon forced to face her own beliefs about what it means to be a sexually active and liberated woman. She struggles to allow herself the freedom she wants, until disovering an inner strength she never knew she had. No longer able to take each other for granted, their sexual encounters bring about a healing change of perspective in both, enabling them to attain levels of love, intimacy, and respect for the other deeper than they'd ever thought possible. "Confessions of a Bisexual Husband” is provocative, sexual, humorous, poignant, and most of all, transformative. In the end this is a very modern re-love story between two people who literally travel to the ends of the earth and beyond the bounds of their marriage to rediscover the love they have for each other.

Bisexual and Gay Husbands

Bisexual and Gay Husbands PDF Author: Fritz Klein
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 1317766377
Category : Family & Relationships
Languages : en
Pages : 514

Book Description
What happens when married men face their gay/bisexual needs? This astonishing volume offers an intimate look into the lives and thoughts of bisexual men. Already married to women, these men are undeniably attracted to other men. Their struggle with conflicting needs, desires, and loyalties is not filtered through theories or evoked in brief interviews. It comes straight from their own keyboards. The stories told in Bisexual and Gay Husbands are taken from an Internet mailing list, which allows people to speak freely and in anonymity, yet also encourages the development of a tightly knit community. Men at all stages of the coming-out process share their experiences, their secrets, their pain, shame, anger, and hope. One man writes, “I have found the answer to my bisexual needs and am afraid to embrace it. I need help and advice to know what to do. What you people have done in your lives may hold the key to helping me decide on a course of action. I am either going to create a dream come true or hell on earth as I destroy my marriage. I can’t tell which, and of course you can’t either. But you CAN tell me how you are handling the problems I am facing.” Bisexual and Gay Husbands includes advice and information on the issues that touch these men most deeply, including: how do I tell my wife and kids? what does it mean to self-identify as bisexual or gay? what kinds of relationships do I want with men? can triads work? how do I deal with my children’s reaction? do I have to leave my wife? The insight, intelligence, and honesty revealed in Bisexual and Gay Husbands make it a riveting read, but it also has great clinical and historic value for therapists, sex theorists, and bisexual men and their families.
