Book Description
"The Liberal Rednecks--a three-man stand-up comedy group doing scathing political satire--celebrate all that's good about the South while leading the Redneck Revolution and standing proudly blue in a sea of red. Smart, hilarious, and incisive, the Liberal Rednecks confront outdated traditions and intolerant attitudes, tackling everything people think they know about the South--the good, the bad, the glorious, and the shameful--in a laugh-out-loud funny and lively manifesto for the rise of a New South. Home to some of the best music, athletes, soldiers, whiskey, waffles, and weather the country has to offer, the South has also been bathing in backward bathroom bills and other bigoted legislation that Trae Crowder has targeted in his Liberal Redneck videos, which have gone viral with over 50 million views. Perfect for fans of Stuff White People Like and I Am America (And So Can You), The Liberal Redneck Manifesto skewers political and religious hypocrisies in witty stories and hilarious graphics--such as the Ten Commandments of the New South--and much more! Tall Texas Teen Tales

Tall Texas Teen Tales PDF Author: John Chas Gibson

ISBN: 9781496972019
Category : Fiction

Pages : 0

Book Description
As a poor kid growing up, it was a challenge to have fun and not cost much, if anything. This book is specifically designed to let everybody know that fun doesn't have a price tag on it if an imagination and a warped sense of humor is part of the equation. Anybody can have a ton of fun, and make lifelong memories without getting into too much trouble. O.K. some of these stories are stretched to the borders of reality, but.................so what? Put yourself in the 60's and remember some of the stuff you pulled. As we go through the elementary school years, then junior high and high school, the fun gets more sophisticated. This will not be done though without having the "goofy and stupid" element ever present. If the warped sense of humor offends you in anyway, please accept this apology, and consider the source. The magic of the 1960's along with a small West Texas group of kids is an experience. Please consider the times compared to today's technology, and society. Back then, parents were to be loved, respected and feared, Nowadays, nobody knows the difference from beating a kid, and spanking a kid. What a shame. Also, there is a section about some of the cars back then. the 50's and 60's was the absolute pinnacle of power and beautiful design. Without the 60's, the muscle cars of the 70's would not have been born. Without the 60's, our music of the 70's and future decades would not have the roots to grow. Hippies, draft dodgers, moon walks, and the whole culture of youth changed drastically then. Teens came out of their controlled environment and grew in many directions. Some good, some not so good. many of the top performers were over-dosing on drugs. But, somehow, we made it through the 60's no worse for the wear. On the lighter side of growing up, you can now enjoy this era. Either by reading about it first hand, or bringing your own memories and comparing them. Either way, it will be fun, a lot of fun. GET READY TO LAUGH!!!

Raised by a single mom in rural Illinois, Gretchen Wilson's formal education concluded in the eighth grade when she traded books for tending bar at Big O's, a rough-and-tumble joint on the outskirts of Pocahontas, IL. By the time she was 15, Gretchen was managing the place with the help of a loaded 12-gauge behind the bar to keep folks in line. Though he was long gone, Wilson's father had instilled a love of music in his daughter that blossomed on stage at Big O's where she found herself fronting a cover band and eyeing a move to Nashville in search of something more. Another town, struggling in another bar job, but again her gift for music won out. Discovered while singing with the house band at a bar in Nashville's famed Printer's Alley, Gretchen Wilson soon joined the ranks of the Muzik Mafia and the rest is history. In less than one calendar year she went from worrying about the repossession of her car to being one of the most successful recording stars in the world. Co-written by acclaimed and New York Times bestselling author Allen Rucker, the book will cover this inspiring All-American success story while providing a fun, and insightful look in on the kind of strength, will, and humor that have allowed Wilson to reclaim the term "Redneck" and recast it as a point of pride for millions of her fans. Redneck Halo

Redneck Halo PDF Author: Sherri Cone
Publisher: Tate Publishing
ISBN: 1621475840
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 192

Book Description
Redneck Halo is not your ordinary book on bold faith. It is faith that is stubborn, daring and provocative. In this spiritually charged portrait of life, Sherri Cone shares the story of Star, a countrified vixen in search for God's truth. When Star and Constantine were surrounded by police for grand theft auto, the army of heaven laid a brass foundation. As Star implements twelve key principles to her life, God opened the flood gates of heaven and poured out so many blessing she could hardly contain them. This story will move passive Christians to their tenacity and ignite doubters and unbelievers to all step out "spiritually charged up" and reach for the success that waits you. That's the greatest story I have ever heard." Julio Lopez, age 20
