It covers the set up and installation process for these environments: Setting up Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 with DASD Setting up Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 with FCP/SCSI Setting up SLES11 with DASD Setting up SLES11 with FCP/SCSI disks Examples include the installation of the Grid Infrastructure, installation of a single instance database and installation of a two-node Real Application Cluster (RAC) database. In all cases, we use UDEV rules for DASD and single path SCSI, and multipathing for multi-path SCSI to provide device persistency for ASM storage, not ASMLib.
