SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALL THE LUCK. THE REST OF US MAKE IT. Let’s face it: Most of us think Feng Shui is synonymous with moving furniture. But Feng Shui specialist Ellen Whitehurst has updated this ancient art form and given it her own unique spin. The result is “Lucky Day Shui,” which is based on her more than twenty years of training and expertise in Feng Shui, aromatherapy, and other modes of holistic healing. What’s more, this approach is a breeze to incorporate into your life, and there’s no heavy lifting required! Make This Your Lucky Day covers all nine Feng Shui energies–including career, wealth, marriage and partnership, children, and creativity–and is broken down into specific days, events, and life situations for which you could use a little extra luck. Do you wish to • Ace that job interview? Wear deep, dark blue to enhance self-esteem. • Increase your bank account? Pages : 262

Book Description
Black Silk Pajamas is the unique, true love story of Mia Thi Nguyen, former First Lady of South Vietnam and her husband Prime Minister Loc Van Nguyen. She grew from a poor village girl to a freedom fighter and secret agent in her war torn country. Black Silk Pajamas recounts Mais undying faith in a premonition of becoming the wife of her God-chosen husband, Prime Minister Loc Van Nguyen and tells of the pain and suffering Mai endured for her love of family, country, and freedom. Ms. Nguyens story begins with her as a young lady, trained in the art of espionage. Her story chronicles her first deadly experiences as a courier of top-secret documents, her imprisonment in Viet Cong concentration camps, and her subsequent escapes. Living much of her adult life in Vietnam with a price on her head, Mai eventually, through her faith in destiny, arranged to meet the Prime Minister. Although married, he instantly fell in love with Mai, and several years later divorced his wife and married her. This story tells of harrowing accounts of her many attempts to flee South Vietnam with Prime Minister Nguyen and their newborn infant daughter, failing more than fifteen times. Finally, after several years they succeeded, but became separated from each other. They were part of the boat people and joined more than a million other Vietnamese refugees to flee the now communist ruled country. They floated for weeks in the South China Sea praying for rescue, political asylum and a better life in America.

The Monkeewrench crew returns to face the city of Minneapolis’s worst nightmare—a rampant serial killer on the loose—in this electrifying thriller from the author of The Sixth Idea. When Minneapolis homicide detectives Leo Magozzi and Gino Rolseth are called to a crime scene in a heavily wooded city park, everything about the setting is all too familiar. And when they discover a playing card on the victim's body, their worst fears are confirmed—there’s a serial killer operating in the city for the first time in years. Across town, Grace MacBride and her unconventional partners at Monkeewrench Software find themselves at both personal and career crossroads. Weary of the darker side of their computer work for law enforcement, they agree to take on a private missing-persons case in a small farming community in southwestern Minnesota. As the violence accelerates in Minneapolis, Magozzi and Gino soon realize their killer is planning to complete the deck, and they enlist Monkeewrench to help stop the rampage. As a baffling tangle of evidence accumulates, the cops and Monkeewrench make the unlikely connections among a farmer’s missing daughter, a serial killer, and a decades-old stabbing that brings them face-to-face with pure evil.
