Book Description
How many of you knew that African-Americans, both Slaves & Free, fought during the American Civil War against the Union? How many of you knew, that such people fought under the banner of the Confederate States of America (CSA), to preserve the Southern Culture of the day, which revolved around Slavery? Many of you may think that such a notion is absolutely absurd and is an abject lie; unfortunately, Black Americans did fight for the Confederates during the Civil War! This will be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in this book, along with the evidence supporting this claim will be presented in full view! Stars, Bars, and Brown Skin: The Black Confederates of the American Civil War (1861-1865) Volume 1, simply debunks the garbage of which is the 1619 Project (called The Critical Race Theory) and exposes the fact that Black Americans fought every battle alongside their White brethren, to preserve the South as it was. Unfortunately, the Men, Women and Children who did support the Confederate States of America, have been hidden for well over 100-plus years! Maybe on purpose? Who knows. However, inside this book, you will find written testimonies, from both the former Slaves, the Confederate Generals, and Union Army Officers who documented such encounters, which the latter were called "Negro Rebels". You will learn the fascinating stories of Black Confederates, such as Si Hubbard, Bill "Ten-Cent" Yopp, Silas Chandler, and more! Stars, Bars, and Brown Skin: The Black Confederates of the American Civil War (1861-1865) Volume 1, exposes an aspect of American History, which has been purposely forgotten and never taught in academia. This book will open up your mind to new revelations, which proves once and for all, that the United States of America, regardless of which side you are loyal to, is still the greatest country on Earth and is rich in history!

American Heart of Darkness

American Heart of Darkness PDF Author: Robert Kirkconnell
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 147979323X
Category : Political Science
Languages : en
Pages : 453

Book Description
These days, most Americans know that the country has serious problems. Problems that will have to be addressed before the country can move forward. What are these problems? Where did they come from? Before we can move forward we have to know where we are and how we got there. American Heart of Darkness paints an unvarnished picture of the seeds of destruction that were sown into the foundations of the Republic from the very beginning. How did slavery come about in the land of the free? How did a pre-Columbian native population, in North America alone, of over eighteen million (yes, you heard it right) native peoples dwindle down to about two hundred thousand? Was it really Small Pox? Why has a people who constantly talk about freedom, democracy, equality, human rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness continually practiced racism, genocide, and war? How do drugs come into the country, and who is really behind the most profitable product sold in the world? There are also other unanswered questions that need to be explored: Why were thousands of the worst Nazi war criminals given refuge in the U.S.? Who financed Hitler? Where did Hitler get his master race and genocidal ideas from? Was Lee Harvey Oswald a C.I.A. agent? Were Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan, Ted Kaczynski, Timothy McVey, and the Peoples Temple all mind control, MKULTRA, subjects? What really happened in the Jeffery MacDonald, so-called Fatal Vision case? How does hundreds of billions of dollars come into the United States every year without detection? The answers to these questions, and many more, will surprise you! They are not in the History books, although they should be. American Heart of Darkness, Volume I, explores the ugly side of America that has been hidden for far too long, and it is literally killing us. This book is not for the reader looking for an uplifting story to escape everyday life for a few hours. It is for true patriots who are sick and tired of being lied to and stolen from. It is for those who know they need to do something but do not know where to start. It is for those who feel powerless and that Americas problems are far too big for little ol me to handle. It is for those with the courage to go from darkness to light. As comedian and activist Dick Gregory once said, If you been in the DARK for so long, LIGHT will hurt your eyes. This book will hurt your eyes. The reader will be shocked, then angry, then motivated, and finally, in the authors next two books, empowered and liberated. It is better to see where we are and where we need to go, right now, before it is too late. Congratulations! If you have read this far this book is probably for you. Please keep in mind the universal truth that with any form of government, the leaders only have the power that the people allow them have. This was true in India when a little skinny guy named Gandhi with no money and only a rag wrapped around his middle took on the British Empire, and won! There is no question that the American people have the power to reclaim a government that is clearly not being run for them. We have to empower ourselves to take this government back from only a handful of selfish and greedy individuals, who have proven that they only care about making more and more money. Let us all stop giving them the power that belongs to us. Reading this book is a beginning, and then we will talk about what to do about it in the authors next two books!

The American Legal Profession in Crisis

The American Legal Profession in Crisis PDF Author: James E. Moliterno
Publisher: Oxford University Press
ISBN: 019939914X
Category : Law
Languages : en
Pages : 272

Book Description
Throughout history, the American legal profession has tried to hold tight to its identity by retreating into its traditional values and structure during times of self-perceived crisis. The American Legal Profession in Crisis: Resistance and Responses to Change analyzes the efforts of the legal profession to protect and maintain the status quo even as the world around it changed. Author James E. Moliterno, consistently argues that the profession has resisted societal change and sought to ban or discourage new models of legal representation created by such change. In response to every crisis, lawyers asked: "How can we stay even more 'the same' than we already are?" The legal profession has been an unwilling, capitulating entity to any transformation wrought by the overwhelming tide of change. Only when the shifts in society, culture, technology, economics, and globalization could no longer be denied did the legal profession make any proactive changes that would preserve status quo. This book demonstrates how the profession has held to its anachronistic ways at key crisis points in US history: Watergate, communist infiltration, waves of immigration, the explosion of litigation, and the current economic crisis that blends with dramatic changes in technology, communications, and globalization. Ultimately, Moliterno urges the profession to look outward and forward to find in society and culture the causes and connections with these periodic crises. Doing so would allow the profession to grow with the society, solve problems with, rather than against, the flow of society, and be more attuned to the very society the profession claims to serve. This paperback version includes a commentary on the prevailing crisis in legal education.

Millennial Jewish Stars

Millennial Jewish Stars PDF Author: Jonathan Branfman
Publisher: NYU Press
ISBN: 1479820792
Category : Literary Criticism
Languages : en
Pages : 320

Book Description
Highlights how millennial Jewish stars symbolize national politics in US media Jewish stars have longed faced pressure to downplay Jewish identity for fear of alienating wider audiences. But unexpectedly, since the 2000s, many millennial Jewish stars have won stellar success while spotlighting (rather than muting) Jewish identity. In Millennial Jewish Stars, Jonathan Branfman asks: what makes these explicitly Jewish stars so unexpectedly appealing? And what can their surprising success tell us about race, gender, and antisemitism in America? To answer these questions, Branfman offers case studies on six top millennial Jewish stars: the biracial rap superstar Drake, comedic rapper Lil Dicky, TV comedy duo Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, “man-baby” film star Seth Rogen, and chiseled film star Zac Efron. Branfman argues that despite their differences, each star’s success depends on how they navigate racial antisemitism: the historical notion that Jews are physically inferior to Christians. Each star especially navigates racial stigmas about Jewish masculinity—stigmas that depict Jewish men as emasculated, Jewish women as masculinized, and both as sexually perverse. By embracing, deflecting, or satirizing these stigmas, each star comes to symbolize national hopes and fears about all kinds of hot-button issues. For instance, by putting a cuter twist on stereotypes of Jewish emasculation, Seth Rogen plays soft man-babies who dramatize (and then resolve) popular anxieties about modern fatherhood. This knack for channeling national dreams and doubts is what makes each star so unexpectedly marketable. In turn, examining how each star navigates racial antisemitism onscreen makes it easier to pinpoint how antisemitism, white privilege, and color-based racism interact in the real world. Likewise, this insight can aid readers to better notice and challenge racial antisemitism in everyday life.

Full Circle

Full Circle PDF Author: Roderick Batson
Publisher: AuthorHouse
ISBN: 1452019924
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 358

Book Description
In 2004, the author of this book participated in a bonding trip with his life time friend Michael, and their two fathers. The four traveled to Africa and Europe and the experience inspired Roderick to write this book. Roderick accurately takes the reader "Full Circle" through a journey of Africa's history from the time she was the envy of the world, through her dark era of slavery and colonialism, to her return as the most important continent in the world during the 21st century. He makes a compelling case how every industrialized nation will become dependent on the natural resources of the continent to sustain their economies in the 22nd century. Full Circle is a powerful and controversial book that takes on a range of social, political, racial, and religious issues. Roderick not only highlights the concerns he has with today's educational systems, politics, and religions; he gives the reader his opinion and solutions for these perils. Throughout "Full circle" Roderick confronts the American media for the negative image it has portrayed of Africa for centuries. He goes on to identify the effects on the psyche of African Americans being indoctrinated with negativity about the continent of their origin and the false sense of inferiority by Europeans derived from the same propaganda. Roderick addresses three practices he identifies as the three B's of colonialism, the Bible, the Bullet, and the Ballot. He begins by unfolding the creation of the Jewish Torah, the Christian Bible, and the Muslim's Quran, chronologically. He uses actual events in history to expose the violence in America and abroad, and emphasizes the importance of participating in politics. Roderick makes his best effort to encourage African Americans to embrace their African heritage in preparation for the reawakening of the continent. He provides an undeniable case for Africa becoming the world's next "Super Power" in the 22nd century, with out firing a shot.
