The Application of a System of Fixed-rotating Vectors to Circuit Analysis and Synthesis

The Application of a System of Fixed-rotating Vectors to Circuit Analysis and Synthesis PDF Author: Carl T. Case
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Dielectrics
Languages : en
Pages : 22

Book Description
A system of fixed-rotating vectors can be used to study the impedance loci of functions of the first Foster form and of systems including negative impedance converters. Of particular interest in the field of dielectrics and biological membrane studies is a parallel RC network, where the dielectric of the capacitor is given by the Debye dispersion relations. Such a network also falls into the category of the first Foster form.

Experimental Study of Zone Refining of the Binary System Triphenyl Antimony-benzoic Acid

Experimental Study of Zone Refining of the Binary System Triphenyl Antimony-benzoic Acid PDF Author: Marvin S. Brooks
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Antimony
Languages : en
Pages : 94

Book Description
An experimental study on the zone refining of the binary system triphenyl antimony-benzoic acid is described. The isotope Sb124, which is a strong gamma emitter, was employed as a tracer; this allowed a rapid in situ nondestructive analysis, closely spaced experimental points, and the opportunity to study distribution as a function of varying experimental conditions. With the aid of computers (IBM 7090 and IBM 7044) apparent k's were calculated and the experimental data compared with those predicted from various mathematical models. (Author).

A Method for Estimating Atmospheric Noise Amplitudes and Phase Errors in Quenched High-Q Receiving Circuits

A Method for Estimating Atmospheric Noise Amplitudes and Phase Errors in Quenched High-Q Receiving Circuits PDF Author: E. A. Lewis
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Atmospheric electricity
Languages : en
Pages : 50

Book Description
Very narrow-band quenched filters used for studying VLF radio signals differ from conventional narrow-band circuits in that both signal and atmospheric noise impulses cause only brief quasi-sinusoidal outputs instead of a prolonged ringing. The random overlapping of these short noise and signal bursts can cause errors in phase measurements. It is shown that the distribution of phase errors can be calculated from the amplitude distribution of the output noise envelope. The properties of the phase distribution are discussed in detail, the computation required in the general case is illustrated by means of a numerical example. A simple 'time-sequential' method for experimentally obtaining typical amplitude distributions is suggested. (Author).
