I'm a stand-up comedian, and there's some humor in here, but not too much. It's a straight-ahead history book with a little sarcasm sprinkled in and some very lively opinions too. This book is rated G and it's a very sad tale; but one that needs to be told, from the rise of Mussolini to the Nazi-Soviet Pact. I know you will appreciate all the effort that went into this book, and will benefit from reading it.
