Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Disaster Risk Reduction Education (DRRE) have overlapping areas of concern focusing on strengthening the link to local communities. Global warming will surpass 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels during the next decade, due to greenhouse gas emissions.
