This book is the preliminary part of a great work titled «THE BOOK OF THE EGYPTIAN: The beginning of the basic Egyptology or a key to the understanding of history, philosophy and world religion». Usually, the introduction is made in the form of a brief preface or foreword, but I got a whole book as the first step in a multi-volume publication of the study. The purpose of this specific introduction as the beginning of serious research – is right at the level of the opening to inspire a reader, showing him in a clear visual and comprehensible form, the whole true mechanism of the hieroglyphic writing. To achieve this, I will completely dispel the myth created by the modern science that hieroglyphs do not convey any meaning (of words, the whole idea), but only individual sounds (letters), or their combination (syllables). This scientific myth will be finally deprived of the status of scientific knowledge, and the translation of the Phaistos disc, on the contrary, will be clearly shown, what is called «broken apart», and will be read in the ancient hieroglyphic language united by the principle of construction – in the language of the ancient Egyptians. I can say that it will not be two simultaneously existing systems of hieroglyphs translation, as well as two Egyptologies, one will be false, and the other – true! To prove the validity of the system of translation I wanted to give you immediately not only a complete translation of the text of the Phaistos disc, where the number of occurrences of each hieroglyph is not big (1 to 19 times), but the translation of the whole ancient Egyptian writing, because the number of times it is used in there is thousands, if not even millions. And each such use of each hieroglyph is translating in the same way, so it creates the full reading of the hieroglyphic texts – writing, which will be easily read by everyone with the dictionary of hieroglyphs in the future. The main reason why I wanted to do it – is because, at first, I read the ancient Egyptian texts and only then, by chance, came across with the hieroglyphs of the Phaistos disc. But then, I decided to set a different aim – to teach the reader to think, and not just to read hieroglyphs. Since we have no ancient Egyptian temple, and you're not its novice, the method of achieving the aims will be different than in the antiquity. First of all, I would suggest not a translation of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, but a complete translation of the Phaistos disc, and at the same time to give them a sort of test of common sense to modern science in the face of particular academies and universities of the world. Let them answer me the question, not knowing the translations of ancient Egyptian texts, – whether they think this translation of the Phaistos disc is correct? So when I completely publish «The Book of Egyptian», it will become clear who they are and where do they lead all of you. As they always test the students, it's a time to test them as well. Will they pass the test, I do not know, but any way, you, my reader, will get to know about it, (in the main manuscript) and will be able to draw your own conclusions about their intellectual level. Therefore, I recommend you to take this message of the book, at least with the attention, because not every day the science gets a ready revelation, designed in the form of scientific study. And here the attention and common sense will help the reader to re-look the original, pure, uncomplicated meaning of the Hieroglyphs, which through the veil of delusion will finally begin to appear in their true, original and vibrant colors – and finally, get from the nether world – into the realm of the living!

The Minoan culture on Crete existed around 2100-1420 BC leaving hundreds of inscriptions on seals, sealings and other artefacts. The most well-known inscription among them can be found on the Phaistos disk, a small clay disk with impressed signs on both sides. Deciphering it is one of the greatest challenges leading to better understanding the Minoan language and culture. First and foremost, the book offers a new general methodology in epigraphy for deciphering writing systems. Mathematical and statistical methods enable one to arrive at basic principles underlying the writing system and the root language. It allows one to begin a decipherment based on scientifically verified knowledge and to exclude false assumptions. While previous works on the Phaistos disk have either had to declare the impossibility of deciphering it or have suggested dubious interpretations based on preconceived assumptions, the present study aims to present a scientifically verifiable method for a step-by-step decipherment of the Phaistos disk. Now, by the end of the decipherment about 85% of the signs on the Phaistos disk can for the most part be read with a high degree of confidence. The discovered sound values and meanings of all the signs are then checked against other hieroglyphic inscriptions from Crete. It follows from the analysis that the Phaistos disk belongs to the writing system of both the Cretan and the Luwian hieroglyphs and that the texts are written in the Luwian language. The Phaistos disk and other Cretan-Luwian hieroglyphic inscriptions can therefore be considered to belong to a uniform linguistic area which extended from Crete to Western Anatolia during the Aegean Bronze Age.

Printing-punching direction (from left to right) The longest Cretan hieroglyphic inscription 1 - the disc of Phaistós is undoubtedly a Cretan artefact; 2 - the signs impressed on it belong to the Cretan hieroglyphic writing system (see Table A); 3 - For over three thousand years the singular writing by movable type printing has made the disc of Phaistós unique; but this is because the hieroglyphic text was transcribed along the spirals of a small clay disc; 4 - the text printed on a discoidal support, along a spiral-shaped layout, was accomplished manually according to technical criteria completely different from those befitting a rectangular or square support, such as clay tablets; 5 - the artist who created the document relied on a model, to print on the clay disc the fair copy of the typographic project to be reproduced; 6 - the writing direction is directly connected only to the linguistic-grammatical expression that the ancient scribe wanted to pass on; 7 - the correct writing direction can be identified from four details: a) a tiny empty space at the end of the text, located to the right of the last two peripheral sections A I and B I; b) four cases of error correction on the right side of some sections; c) ) three cases of modification of the intersection line on the right of as many sections, in order to proceed with the necessary word corrections; d) the line of intersection between A XIV and A XIII roughly retouched with the stylus, to close section A I with a special line in its own right, re-marked by five dots made with the stylus. The research therefore was able to demonstrate how the hieroglyphic sequence of the Phaistós disc unfolds in a linear direction along the path of the spirals, starting from the centre towards the periphery, that is, from left to right; to end finally with the line marked with five stylus dots. The current vulgate on the right-to-left writing direction, from the outside towards the centre of the disc, deduced from 2 or 5 overlappings, is then definitively overcome by two details never considered up to now: 1) the deformations of some signs, caused by the punching of the sign on their right; 2) the retouching-scratch of the intersection line between A XIV and A XIII, with the series of parallel dashes interrupted by the countersinking of the five dots, placed on the presumed opening line, which the photographic enlargement reveals instead to be the text closing line.
