The Global Citizenship Commission was convened, under the leadership of former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the auspices of NYU’s Global Institute for Advanced Study, to re-examine the spirit and stirring words of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Chinese Yearbook of Human Rights is a forum for academic exchange between China and the international community in the field of human rights. It publishes peer reviewed articles by scholars and practitioners from both within and outside China on human rights issues, from the perspectives of law, philosophy, political science, history, international relations and other relevant academic disciplines.
