Book Description
Life happens to all of us. Oftentimes we are ill prepared to deal with the brute-force winds of trouble that can leave us wounded and maimed. Being hurt can gouge the very life out of our lives. It is a true saying that “hurt people, hurt people.” Humans are daily at risk of hurts being inflicted upon us by parental, sibling, marital, peer, coworker, or church relationships. One of the greatest threats to divine fulfillment and living a fulfilling life is unforgiveness. Its tentacles attach to every area of our lives, choking God’s potential, power, purpose, and promise right out of us. It is an untreated disease in our world and sad to say, so often in the church. Many are our afflictions, but God has promised to deliver us out of them all. He wants to heal our hurts and set us free from unforgiveness. I believe that the door of escape from the things that afflict and cripple our lives is being forgiven and giving forgiveness. If you or someone you know struggles with unforgiveness and bitterness, this book can help. It is a candid conversation, a practical perspective, a challenge for the heart, a refreshing for the soul, and much more.

Book Description
There no are coincidences. God is intentional. He is a God of order and justice. When Jesus answered Peter saying, "Forgive, seventy times seven." He was letting us know that we must walk in obedience by forgiving completely. We should hold no resentment toward anyone. We must fully forgive them, in Jesus name, including ourselves. Forgiving is never easy. We must not judge what one's initial intent is. Did they purposely set out to hurt or anger us? We can never know for certain what motivational force went into the actions they pursued in causing our pain. We don't know the external forces surrounding why we were hurt by someone. God wants us to forgive each flaw and idiosyncrasy which all of us have. Sin is sin, and we all fall short. In our everyday walk, we need to set out to love each person we touch, even forgetting past hurt. God says our sins are as far as the east is from the west. If the good Lord can forgive, then we can too. We must strive to be more like Him, enjoying a closer walk in relationship with Him. There are also people who need to forgive us for our offenses, though we may have meant no harm. The person did not know your intent. We must not judge someone for burning a bridge which we created in pain. We must find a way to mend the hearts of those who have been affected by something we did or said, intended or not. We don't get to say that we didn't hurt them. Their pain is just as valid as ours and when we are the source, we need to ask forgiveness. What we can do is positively communicate as soon as we know someone is hurt by our words or actions. This book discusses the subtle and demonstrative ways we can build a life learning to forgive and to receive forgiveness.
