The study also examines how college administration, academic departments, and individual professors and other instructors are developing guidelines for ChatGPT use. The report helps its readers to answer questions such as: to what extent to college faculty feel that ChatGPT undermines traditional approaches to college term papers? How serious a problem is ChatGPT inspired plagiarism and other unattributed uses of ChatGPT? To what degree and how do college faculty feel that ChatGPT should be integrated into traditional paper writing and other college course requirements? Just a few of this report's many findings are that: ?13.62% of faculty surveyed felt that their college administration had developed general guidelines on student and faculty use of ChatGPT in their classes.?Faculty at community colleges were more likely than those of faculty at other institutions to feel that unattributed use of ChatGPT by students was a significant problem.?Faculty at private colleges were in general more highly satisfied than faculty at public colleges with the institutional response to challenges of ChatGPT.This 115-page study is based on data from a survey of 954 higher education faculty randomly chosen from nearly 500 colleges and universities in the USA. Data is broken out by personal variables such as work title, gender, personal income level, academic discipline, age and other variables, as well as institutional indicators such as college or university type or Carnegie class, enrollment size, public or private status and others.

This study gives extensive data on how US higher education faculty use course reserves, particularly through their academic libraries. The study helps its readers to answer questions such as: which faculty use course reserves? How much? How satisfied are they with the services academic libraries provide for course reserves? Do they put print materials on course reserve? Digital materials? How easy is it to use course reserves? How easy is it to integrate course reserves with course management systems? What can be done to improve course reserve systems? This 70-page study is based on data from a survey of 806 higher education faculty randomly chosen from nearly 500 colleges and universities in the USA. Data is broken out by personal variables such as work title, gender, personal income level, academic discipline, age and other variables, as well as institutional indicators such as college or university type or Carnegie class, enrollment size, public or private status and others. Just a few of this report's many findings are that: 34.43% of adjunct faculty in the sample put materials on course reserve in the academic library. 37.22% of faculty felt it was very easy to put materials on course reserve. Faculty of Asian origin were much more likely than others to worry that they were abrogating copyright or licensing strictures when they put materials on course reserve. Faculty at the smallest colleges were particularly dissatisfied with the ease of integrating content on course reserve into course management systems.

This study looks closely at how 725 randomly chosen US higher education faculty are using streamed video, predominantly from the academic library. It helps its readers to answer questions such as: which faculty are using streamed video in the classroom? For research purposes? And to what extent? How satisfied are they with the current offerings and how easy is it for them to access collections and integrate them into their classes or research? In response to an open ended question, survey participant discuss what they expect and need from library streamed video services.Data in the report is broken out by 12 personal and institutional variables including size, type or Carnegie class, tuition level and public/private status of the participant's affiliated institutions, as well as personal characteristics such as academic field, tenure status, academic title, gender, income and other variables. The 85-page study also looks at how use of streamed video collections changed as a result of the pandemic, and asks survey participants to compare their current rate of usage both to pre-pandemic use and use during the height of the pandemic. Just a few of this unique report's many findings are that: ?35.59% of faculty surveyed have ever used streamed video from the academic library for one of their classes.?Faculty in architecture and fine and visual arts were the most likely to have used streamed video from library collections for research purposes.?Faculty at the lowest end of the academic pay scale were far more dissatisfied with academic library streamed video offerings than were faculty at higher pay grades.
