The Seven Cs of Happiness PDF Author: Jagdish Patel

ISBN: 9781469100494
Category : Self-Help

Pages : 92

Book Description
The Seven Cs of Happiness is a book about achievement of long lasting and meaningful happiness. It shows how all of us can use common sense and moderation to be happy. It will help you understand happiness and provide a useful guide, not an answer, to a happy and successful life. It is not prescriptive, nor is it based on any of the old time religions, new age theories, Freudian principles, or other popular or esoteric doctrines. If anything, two underlying premises the book follows are; common sense and moderation. Part I explains the meaning of happiness and how it relates to our lives. It paves a way to a better understanding of the role of happiness in life. In addition, steps are laid out to focus and coordinate our goals, desires, and wishes to create a meaningful life. Part II provides how the seven Cs (Commitment, Communication, Contentment, Character, Courage, Compassion, Compromise), may be used to help us become happy. These seven elements of a happy life have been written and talked about throughout the history of mankind. In fact, one may say that the basis of these Cs is the most important C of them all, Common Sense. Although each of the elements is discussed separately, all of them, to some degree, are necessary for the pursuit of happiness. The seven Cs are easy to understand, although a little more difficult to live by , as they are inter-related in the application to our daily lives. The chapters in Part II are not arranged in any order of importance. Not a single C is sufficient for all your needs, nor are all the Cs needed at all the time. Depending on an individuals priorities and needs, for a specific situation, significance and application of the elements will be very different. So, there are situations where Compromise may be of more value than Commitment. People of all occupations, from the president of a large corporation to the layman in the street , from a housewife to a young man in college, should be able to benefit from this book.

Book Description

Happiness is something everyone desires. Yet how to find happiness—or even if we deserve to—remains a mystery. The goal of life is the expansion of happiness, but today’s society reinforces the belief that fulfillment comes from achieving success, wealth, and good relationships. In this book, Chopra shows us seven keys for a life based on a sense of your “true self” lying beyond the ebb and flow of daily living. Simple daily exercises can lead to eliminating the root causes of unhappiness and help you to: • Recognize real happiness and not settle for less • Find true self-esteem, which doesn’t depend on anything outside you • Return to the state of joy, peace, and spontaneous fulfillment that is your natural birthright • Focus on the present and learn to live it fully • Experience enlightenment After all avenues to happiness have been explored, only one path is left: the journey to enlightenment. The Seven Cs of Consulting

The Seven Cs of Consulting PDF Author: Mick Cope
Publisher: Pearson UK
ISBN: 0273748866
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 368

Book Description
The definition of a consultant is someone who facilitates organisational change and provides expertise on technical, functional and business topics during development or implementation. In other words a consultant is someone who helps others to change. However, change isn’t such an easy target to achieve. Research shows that the vast majority of change programmes fail. On a daily basis we hear about projects that are delayed, cancelled, over budget or boycotted by the end user. The problem is that we can never force people to change - remember the backlash against Jamie Oliver’s healthy school meals campaign where parents handed junk food to their children through school fences. The key to successful change is to engage with the end user and help them want to change. The Seven Cs of Consulting offers a consistent and collaborative language that helps both consultant and client deliver value through sustainable change. Based around the author’s highly successful 7Cs model (Client, Clarify, Create, Change, Confirm, Continue, Close) this approach is simple and accessible but firmly grounded in research and real life experience. The 7Cs approach opens up the complexity of sustainable change to the consultant and client and helps them explore- and then avoid - the real issues that cause change to fail within a more professional and trusting relationship. The Happiest Life

The Happiest Life PDF Author: Hugh Hewitt
Publisher: Thomas Nelson
ISBN: 159555579X
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 207

Book Description
What's the secret to a life of happiness? "In this delightful book brimming with humorous and poignant passages, radio personality Hugh Hewitt provides the answer. The starting place is generosity, he says, and there are seven gifts that are sure to improve the lives of both giver and receiver: encouragement, energy, enthusiasm, good humor, graciousness, gratitude, and patience. Anyone can give these gifts, but Hewitt shows that some people are particularly well placed to offer them: parents, spouses, family members, friends, teachers, coworkers, and fellow church members. Channeling his skills as a broadcaster, journalist, lawyer, and teacher, Hewitt weaves stories about these seven gifts and seven givers with inspiring and motivating observations to help readers become generous in the ways that matter most. "The Happiest Life is not simply a delight to read, and not merely a glimpse under the hood of a remarkable man. It’s a map to what Robert Frost once described as the road less traveled—the road that leads to a life of meaning and gratitude and joy.” —Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., Archbishop of Philadelphia "Reading this book is the next best thing to sitting down for a long conversation with my friend Hugh Hewitt.” —Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary “Wanna be a happier person? Know anyone else who does? What if this book could actually help with that? Cutting to the chase—it can. And it will." —Eric Metaxas, New York Times best-selling author of Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy and 7 Men: And the Secret of Their Greatness
